Work Smart, Not Hard!

Are you concerned about your child's organizational skills? Does he or she have a thousand excuses as to why school grades are so low? It's difficult to teach responsibility, but we can teach students the strategies necessary to be successful. Our Study Skills Course teaches students strategies in:

• Goal-Setting

• Time Management

• Listening

• Learning Styles

• Memorization Techniques

• Test Taking

• Note Taking, Outlining, Reading Strategies

Emphasis is placed on those skills which parents and students identify as particularly needy. Typically study skill students meet once a week with the tutor to cover topics, then, if time permits during the school year, apply those skills to a specific course from school.

Depending upon needs, we can, and often do, contact student's teachers regularly to see how they are doing in that subject.
